As we were waiting on our bus today at the end of Bangla, we sat next to an older Thai man who was standing backwards shouting aloud as he sharped his beer bottle top on the concrete.
We made the comment about him being crazy but quickly realized he was possessed.
We asked him what he was doing and he just kept pointing to the sky. He said, “Higher, higher, up, up.”
He kept pacing back and forth back and forth.
The beer bottle seemed to be getting heavier and he began to get more upset, shouting louder and walking faster. He kept stopping at the corner of a pole and the wall we were sitting on and shouting things at it.  He finally got so frustrated with whatever was in the bottle that he wanted it out. By this point the bottle looked as if it weighed 100 pounds. There was something living in the bottle.
He shook it more and more violently, eventually smashing it to pieces on the concrete wall. He shouted at the corner and then went to get a broom to clean up the mess.
We walked over to him and Sami took the broom and began sweeping up the broken glass. I put my hand on his shoulder and asked him his name. He told me his name was Bim and then quickly began pacing again and made his way back to the demon.
We moved to the corner where the demon was and starting proclaiming Jesus’ name.
All we knew to do was say Jesus’ name.
The more we proclaimed his name the more Bim started to shake.
He brought some water over to the demon trying to get it to take it from him. When the demon wouldn’t take the water he punched it open, drank it quickly, and throw it as hard as he could at the corner. He continued staring straight at the demon and bickering with it. He and the demon were having a very serious and nasty conversation.
People looked at him like he was insane because they couldn’t see what he saw and they surely didn’t think it was anything real.
I had no doubt that it was real even though I couldn’t see it. I asked God if I too could see it. We all asked to be able to see it and we all got the same answer.
God said “NO. You do not want to see the evil that he is looking at, you would never want to see the horrific things that Bim constantly sees.”
He started pointing to the trees, the sky, and all around he told us that there were 10,000 more right there.  He pointed to us and said “you, five men here but 10,000 all around”
If there were 10,000 gruesome demonic beings right there I can only imagine how many glorious heavenly beings were there too.
The bus was getting close so we stood up to go. I motioned for him to come closer to me and I touched his shoulder to pray for him but he wanted a hug.
We embraced and I proclaimed more of Jesus’ name over him.
I looked at him and said “Jesus loves you, Jesus loves you so much and He wants you free.”
Bim shouted “free. Yes, yes. Jesus” He lifted his hands up and looked up to heaven shouting it again. “YES. FREE!”
Right then he tasted a little bit of freedom. I know the demons in him and around him were shaken up by the power of our great Saviors name.
Bim has eyes that are opened to the spiritual world, so he will always see things that most others don’t. People will always think he is crazy, but I know with the power of Jesus, Bim will no longer be trapped and arguing with demons, instead he will be free and singing with angels.
