“Training camp will wreck your world…”

On the way to training camp July 14, 2012!

Laura and I on the way to training camp.. before our worlds were wreaked.

These words were said multiple times during the first few hours of training camp. I thought to myself that other people’s lives might be wrecked but not mine. The first two nights of camp I fell asleep doubting that I should have even been there. For so long this trip has been so far off but this week at training camp it actually felt real. To be perfectly honest I was really freaked out with how uncomfortable, tired, and alone I felt.

This was exactly Gods plan. He wanted me to come to a place of brokenness so that I would surrender completely to Him.
To find your life you MUST first loose it…God has something better for you than you do for yourself!!

On Monday July 16th we had a lesson about prayer ministry. At the end of the lesson Dr. Walborn told us to give it a try.

I asked a group of girls from my squad to pray for my right shoulder. [My whole life I have been able to pop it off of place causing major discomfort and pain. Three days before training camp I went to an orthopedic doctor and he told me that I would need surgery when I came home from the trip if rehab did not make it better. ]

The girls all placed their hands on my shoulder and began praying for Stability. Not just stability in my shoulder but stability in my relationships, friends, and family- something I have not had much off through out my life. They also prayed that I would know that the Lord Jesus is ALWAYS stable. He is constantly with you and will never ever leave you!
The more we prayed the more I could feel the Holy Spirit. My right ear began to get really warm and then the heat moved from my ear to my whole arm. My arm started to shake, twitch, and pop uncontrollably. When the girls all removed their hands from my shoulder I tried to move it out of place and I physically could not move it.  The Lord literally went into my body and gave me a new shoulder.

“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone and the new is here.” 2 Corinthians 5:7
He makes all things new.

For 24 hours after my shoulder was healed it did not shake but Tuesday afternoon when I was reading the Bible I stumbled upon a verse in Luke: 10:

“When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, “The Kingdom of God has come near to you.””

As I read this verse my shoulder began to twitch/shake uncontrollably. God was showing me that He will use my healed shoulder to heal people all around the world and to show people just how real He is!! The Holy Spirit makes my arm shake every time that I pray for someone. Jesus healed several more people on my team while we were at training camp. Just like God healed an Army in Ezekiel 37.He is healing us so that we may be His warriors.

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: “I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”” Ezekiel 37: 5-6

I know that the Lord was just giving us a little glimpse of all that He will do through us in the upcoming months.
