God did not just show up at training camp, He shows up everywhere we welcome Him and every time we ask for His presence.
I asked God to continue to show me how real He is…not just when 400 other “crazy” Christians surround me but when I was home living my normal life.
The first morning I was home after training camp my mom woke me up asking if I would pray for my Aunt, Bardie, who has TMJ. Bardie was seriously considering going to the hospital because her jaw was in so much pain. Bardie came over to our house and we began praying over her. We prayed healing over her: no more stress, tension, worries, and no more pain. Throughout the prayer Bardie could not speak but she prayed in tongues and felt the tension and pain exit her body through her ears. The whole time that we prayed my arm shook and my hand tapped her jaw. She said that she literally felt like God was using my hand to break up the clots in her jaw. When we got done praying all the pain was gone.
On Monday July 30, 2012 I went with Sis Blanchard to Teen Challenge. Mrs. Blanchard teaches a bible study to the women of Teen Challenge twice a month. After Mrs. Blanchard was done with her bible study for the week I shared some of my testimony (covered in blog below I am New)
When I was done we asked the women if any of them needed healing prayer for anything.
The first woman that we prayed for had TMJ. We prayed for healing over her and
As we were all praying for the first woman, another ladies knee began shaking uncontrollably. When we asked who wanted prayer next she pointed to her knee and said, “obviously God wants to heal my knee.” Her knee was very swollen and she explained to us that she was in need of a knee replacement. We prayed for healing in her knee. When she stood up the swelling was almost completely gone and she could squat down pain free.
The next woman that we prayed for had severe headaches. I began praying that God would relieve her of any stress and worries causing the headaches. My eyes began to flitter and I could not control what I was saying because it was the Holy Spirit. I spoke that she did not have to be responsible for her family and as soon as I said that she burst into tears. We prayed that she would give the burdens that were weighing her down to God because He handles things way better than we could ever handle anything. As we prayed for peace and no more tension or pain her headache left.
Again, GOD HEALED HER!
Earlier that morning when I was praying for God to fill me up before I spoke to these women, God gave me a pain in my shoulder that I had not felt since the day that it was healed. I asked God why He was letting my shoulder hurt and He told me that I was going to pray for someone with a hurt shoulder that day. I knew God would stick to His word.
Karla, one of the ladies that works with Teen Challenge came up to me after we had prayed for the woman in the program and said that she wanted to be prayed for but first she wanted us to pray for another woman, Rebecca. She called her over and began to explain that her shoulder was really loose and often popped out of place. I looked at Rebecca and said “God already told me He was going to heal your shoulder today.” We prayed and He did just that.
Finally, we prayed for Karla. She had a swollen thumb from arthritis and a bad back. We prayed over her and I literally felt the swelling from her thumb melt away underneath my hand. When we finished praying Karla was so filled with the Holy Spirit all she could do was laugh and smile. She wiggled her fingers freely and did a little dance because her pain was gone.
I was in awe of how abundantly God was healing people. I kind of starting thinking that it was happening to much…that maybe God might cap it off at a certain number or that I shouldn’t continue to ask for His healing so much. God quickly set me straight.
I do not doubt that this is only the beginning. God wants His people healthy and He will continue to heal people wherever they are as long as they have the FAITH.
