“Awe, look, you have baby Jesus in your arms” I said talking about our beach mats we had in our arms like swaddled babies and Cherub Grace proceeded to say “I love you baby Jesus…I love you a lot.” I started to think about love and as I processed it in my brain I got to the point of realization that
we were created to love that Jesus.

The whole reason that God put us here is to love and be loved by Him.

Then I thought about all the times that love is done wrong and how often we think of love in a skewed way because of course if God is not in the middle of a situation, relationship, thought, or action its not going to be the way that He planned it. That’s not how He created it to be so how could we possibly think it would work out?

We wouldn’t have a wrong view if He were in the middle of it from the start. Instead, we being humans try to experience and do love on our own and it turns into something not pure, not good, not holy, and far from the perfect love that He created us to know. He created us in such a way that it is impossible to do anything without Him and we cannot do anything with Him without His love..
His love and the love that He created us to experience is patient, His love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

HIS LOVE NEVER FAILS.

He wants us to know His perfect love no matter where we have been or what we have experienced. He forgives us and gives us the strength to forgive. He heals our broken hearts and binds up our wounds. He redeems us. The Lord wants to have a relationship with us and He searches every one of our hearts and understands our every desire and our every thought. If you seek Him, I promise you will find him. He will change your heart, so that you can love Him with all your heart and all your soul, and live.

He desires so badly to love you, perfectly.
So, go ahead and let Him.
